Ft. Defiance Indian Hospital is a new 240,000 SF replacement hospital located within the Navajo Nation. FDIH provides comprehensive healthcare services to Native Americans from Arizona and New Mexico.

A full range of services is provided including inpatient care, labor and delivery, primary care and specialty clinics, a dental clinic, comprehensive community health services, and emergency/urgent care services.

FDIH is the first Indian Health Service hospital to incorporate a 20-bed Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing Unit.

Mr. Rosamond was the Project Director, and Mr. Smitthipong was the Project Designer for this project when they were employed by Anderson DeBartolo Pan (ADP) in Tucson, AZ.
