The preparation of those Construction Documents (CD’s) is the end of the design phase of each project, large or small, and that product is used to communicate with the Contractor (Or bidders) the Scope and Magnitude of the project, and after Contract Award, becomes the instruction manual for physical construction.

This is the typical deliverable for Architects.
